ball fan, Incidently, the state has been stocking trout in the winter for at least since 1972 when I started ice fishing, and most probably far before that. Too bad there not stocking balls for you to have fun with!

I take it that you're not a fisherman. Try it sometime. It's a great way to relax a little....

At 70 or 80 bucks a pop, they can fill those head boats with all the cod in the sea, it doesn't matter because it's to damned expensive. For that kind of money, I can go to the super market and buy enough cod to keep me happy for at least a month!

  • 4:23 PM Aaron on Kayak fishing continues to grow in RI

I've noticed kayak fishing's popularity all over the US. I think kayaks are affordable for those who can't afford a boat and also make many fishing destinations more accessible even more so than from a boat. Plus it's good exercise paddling although the motor defeats that purpose.

  • 7:56 PM Kevin Olivieri Sr on Bonito and albies have arrived in numbers

sept 18 09 windy big waves, Sakonot point jetty, fished all this week producing lots of big Scup, in you are a shore fisherman, also saw albacore or bonito's caught off the jetty, also saw 1 large striper around 30/40 lbs being dragged off the jetty, early in the week,I strickly fish for stripers with clam worms, but the upper bay died off, water is to warm, so I decided to try Sakonot Pt, for a change, now I have plenty of scup filets to last a while,Havent seen any blues out their, just skip jack in the cove, and tinker mackerel, alot of guys kayak fishing, just off the jetty, and guys in boats fly fishing for bonito, I guess. But if you like scup, its pretty hot right now out their.check out my photos at kjosr@live.com
