Projo Fishing: HotBytes |
Frank Blount, owner of the Frances Fleet, reported excellent fishing and weather last week. "The 7 a.m. full-day fluke/sea bass boat had a great week with fish up to 9 pounds and numerous angler limits on big fluke plus varying numbers of big sea bass up to 5 pounds," he said. "The 7 a.m. fluke/sea bass combo continues daily until we switch over to cod fish sometime later in September on a date to be announced in the not too distant future. Early word is that there are some cod around. "Striped bass fishing exploded Saturday night after a brief mid-week slump. Cow bass of 40 and 35 pounds were recorded Saturday along with many other nice keepers in the teens and a couple in the 20s. "More and more bluefish are mixing in on these trips, adding some variety. The occasional doormat fluke grabs an eel from time to time. Striper fishing will continue its four-day-per- week sailing schedule through the first week of September. Prepaid reservations are a must most evenings." CommentsLeave a comment |
