Projo Fishing: HotBytes |
Billy Silvia, skipper of the charter boat Can't Imagine, took some guests to the south side of Block Island over the weekend, and they caught 20- to 40-pound bass on eels, reports Nils Christensen, the creator of Ultimate Kayak Fishing. The action was steady, Nils said, and on the last drift over some humps, they caught a 50.5-pounder, 51 inches long. Anglers fishing with the Frances Fleet yesterday caught plenty of scup, as well as some sea bass, close to Point Judith. Peter Tu won the pool when he caught a 5-pound triggerfish. Frank Blount, owner of the fleet, said, "Capt. Richie reported an excellent day on the fluke/sea bass boat today. Conditions were a bit challenging for some anglers, but those who were a bit more seasoned really soared today in production." On the Frances Fleet's tuna trip yesterday, anglers caught albacore and more yellowfin than they have been seeing. |
