Projo Fishing: HotBytes |
Narragansett angler Mike Lanni, above, writes: "Here's a picture of a 57-inch, 62-pounder caught southwest of Block Island on a Sunday all-nighter. Three other fish caught were 44, 39, and 37 pounds. All fish hit live eels." Over the weekend, stripers in the 30-pound class won a tournament on Aquidneck Island, but most of the bass that were taken were lighter. Blackfish as large as 11 pounds were entered and the bluefish that were caught weighed around 9-pounds, he said. Schools of baitfish are thick along the oceanfront, but bass have been scarce. Asked about the fall run of fish, Kendrick said, "It's going to happen, no question about that. And with the amount of baitfish there, it's going to happen fast." CommentsLeave a comment |
