The first bluefish and squeteague have arrived.

At Quaker Lane Outfitters in North Kingstown, Thom Pelletier weighed in a 6.13-pound squeteague (weakfish) this morning. The fish was caught in Greenwich Bay, he said.

Bluefish have arrived, too. Joe Latinville of Riverside Marine in Tiverton, said there are blues in the Westport River.

Striper fishing is excellent all around Aquidneck Island, except Ocean Drive, said Kevin Kendrick of Edwards Fishing Tackle.
