Michael Jarret caught bass on every other cast at Annawan Cliffs yesterday morning, but they were all around 24 inches long. He fished for about two hours, starting at 8 a.m. He was casting a mackerel-colored popper.
He had set out to fish for tautog, but the water was too rough.
