Freshwater fishing is very good on ponds that haven't been covered by weeds.

Yesterday, Beverly Mouradjian of Big Bear Hunting and Fishing Supplies in Glocester wrote:

"Alex Conway caught a 3-1/2-pound bass on shiners at Waterman Lake on Sunday, and Joe Grant caught a 3-pound bass at Echo Lake on Big Bear shiners."
