"Kyle Blount caught a 15.65-pound fluke on August 24th onboard the Captain Frances," according to an e-mail from the Frances Fleet. "It is the largest fluke ever caught on the Frances Fleet out of Point Judith. It is also a hall of fame fish for Rhode Island Salt Water Anglers. The fish was caught just south of Beaver Tail Light, in about 70 feet of water. It has been the best season that we have ever seen for jumbo fluke."

After landing a 734-pound giant bluefin tuna near the Mud Hole, Tom DiPrete, owner of El Jefe, wrote:

"The giants are still here. Following up on the 734-pounder, we went back out later in the week and landed two more giants, 400-plus pound class. Over the weekend, Duck Soup landed its first fish of the year. El Jefe's twin fish were reeled in by Matt
Reilly and Taylor Sanford."
